Who Am I
I am a musician living in the Bearwood area of Birmingham. I studied music at university, learned to play up to diploma level and gained teaching certificates in secondary education music and piano tutoring.
Aside from teaching I am a Music Director at a local theatre, I direct a mixed voice choir and publish my own compositions and arrangements.
Lessons
Lessons are generally 30 minutes in length. If a learner is above Grade 5 in standard they will often benefit from hour long lessons. Lessons are shaped around what the learner wants to achieve. Sometimes this will mean studying towards exams but other times it will involve learning music they are particularly interested in.
Lessons are given on a grand piano that is regularly tuned and maintained. There is a comfortable seating area for parents or if learners have to wait whilst another lesson finishes. There is usually parking available on the road outside. For those who use public transport, buses that go to Bearwood High Street are only 5 minutes walk away and buses that travel along the Hagley Road are a 10 minute walk away.
